Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Group arrives at the Inn at the Olde Silk Mill, for greeting by costumed host and hostess providing a short history of the Inn.
Complimentary Wine and Cheese Reception will be offered prior to heading out to your dinner destination. Do you speak German? No Need...! A warm welcome from the staff awaits your group at the Historic Train Station in Olde Town, Where you'll dine at the "Bavarian Chef"!
Dinner includes dessert, but you'll find cupcakes and milk awaiting your return to the Inn. SWEET DREAMS!
Day 2
Complimentary Breakfast with the Owners of the Inn.
***Step on guide in costume accompanies your group for a Tour of Historic Olde Town Fredericksburg.... followed by free time for shopping and lunch on your own. The area is full of historic building and charming architecture.
The afternoon will be spent touring the historic home of "Mary Washington" and also her daughter's home "Kenmore Plantation". (Included in your group tour)
After a fun filled day of touring....relax back at the Inn with Tea and Cookies, served by a costumed hostess.
Dinner tonight will be at one of our many really good local Eateries, included in our tour package. Each features a different ambiance to compliment your tour theme. There are over 30 individual restaurants to choose from, many are Chef Owned. Groups have enjoyed the Capital Ale House, for the largest selection of beer in Virginia with casual dining featuring Steaks and Seafood. La Petite Auberge for the Chef Owned, white table cloth experience featuring French Cuisine. Or how about dinner on the Rappahannock River aboard a Paddle Boat? (Available Seasonally). Bistro Bethem features fresh local produce, Eileen's (housed in an old church) features heavenly dessert.
The Olde Town Crier (In Costume) will meet you at your dinner stop and escort you back to the Inn!
Day 3
Join the owners for a complimentary breakfast before your departure

Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at the Inn at the Olde Silk Mill in Historic Fredericksburg, Virginia and be greeted by your costumed Host and Hostess. Check in to your antique filled, newly renovated accommodations in this quaint 27 room B&B. Join your fellow travelers in the Parlor for a Wine and Cheese Reception before heading out to your dinner destination (included in your tour package).
Day 2
Breakfast with the owners before heading behind the Inn to tour the Copper Shop, home of the handmade copper and Glass Fredericksburg Lamp. Your step on guide will join you in the lobby of the Inn for your day of touring (approximately 2.5-3 hours).
First Part of the Morning:
Tour Olde Town Fredericksburg and discover the charm of its early history and early residents. You will drive by all the Downtown Historic attractions and receive material on how to visit them on your own. The sites include: the CityDock and Ferry Landing on the Rappahannock River, The Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop, The Lewis Store, the Rising Sun Tavern, the old City Hall, the James Monroe Museum, the Mary Washington House, the Lewis Mansion and Mary Washington's grave.
After touring Olde Town you will cross the river into Stafford County and see Falmouth Village & Belmont Mansion. Visit the Georgian-Style structure and stroll the grounds of "Lacy House", used as a hospital during the Civil War, now known as the Chatham Mansion.
Afternoon:
After lunch at "Amy's Cafe" (included in your tour), its back to Fredericksburg to walk along one of the many local sites that became a battleground during the Civil War. Your guide will take you to the Upper Pontoon Landing Site, walk with you along the Stone Wall/Sunken Road/Marye's Heights area and discuss the 1862 Battle of Fredericksburg as well as the settings for the other three area battles.
Back to the Inn for a nap before heading out to dinner at the "Capitol Ale House" featuring steak and seafood and the largest selection of beer in Virginia. The Olde Town Crier will escort you back to the Inn from your Dinner stop by Lantern light.

Breakfast with the owner before departure.
